The Tuart Sweater designed by Brendan Girak is an advanced level knitting project worked in Baby Alpaca featuring a cable stitches on the front panel. This project is worked flat in several pieces which are them seamed together: back, front, and sleeves. The end result is a lovely cabled sweater, handmade by you in one of the softest yarns in the world... sounds like a plan?

This project is worked in Baby Alpaca. Fine, luxurious, soft and extremely warm. Baby alpaca is obtained from the youngest alpacas and from the areas of the adult coat where the hair is thinner. The finer the fiber, the higher the quality of the wool. Its enchanting silkiness makes Baby Alpaca garments feel like a hug! On the other hand, it is perfectly suitable for the little ones. Our Baby Alpaca is soft on the skin, breathable, elastic and light. Babies can move freely using alpaca knitted items, such as sweaters, socks, hats, or blankets.}
Brendan Girak, the Perth based knitwear designer behind @knitwitsandyarns began knitting at the age of 22 and hasn't stopped since! He takes inspiration from Australian nature, and strives to create ungendered, simplistic and stylish takes on modern oversized knitwear.
